Interesantna statistika Rafe
Nadal is 53-10 for the season, which is good for a .841 winning percentage.
But as impressive as that sounds, it's actually a bit underwhelming for a 10-time Grand Slam champion. In fact, Nadal's current 84% match-victory rate is his lowest since 2004, the year before he won his first Grand Slam title and began to threaten Roger Federer's mid-decade dominance.
He has won only three tournaments this year — including the French Open, his sixth, which ties him with Bjorn Borg for the most French Open championships. That's his lowest number of tournament titles in, again, seven years.

Kakva konstantnost vec skoro 7 godina.

Bivsi trener Rafe(?) i Moje, radi trenutno u UAE sa decom, i izmedju ostalog govori i o Rafi
“What I say to all the kids. You don’t have an obligation to win, you have an obligation to try your best. If a kid tries 100 per cent on court for me that’s 100 per cent positive. If you do all you can, chances are you will make it,” says Rubio.

His years of working with juniors have made him understand the huge impact a tennis coach can have on a player’s character even more than on his game.

“I think it’s just not only tennis, some parents don’t understand we’re teaching more than tennis on the court. A behaviour, a manner, a way of being in the future,” he said.

“Always be very respectful to the opponent. Even if you are the best, there’s always someone who can beat you. You have to be humble and at the same time you have to be confident but maintain respect.

“When Rafa was 12 he had already won the under-14 Spanish Championship. So his uncle Toni and I, we said okay now you’re Spanish champion. Here’s a book of all the former under-14 champions, so now try and see if you can recognise somebody.

“After 100s of pictures there were only two pictures of players that he saw that had really made it. So his uncle Toni said: ‘you’re nobody yet’. You haven’t done anything, so don’t get a big head.

“The way you educate the boy is very important. Rafa is a fabulous, very grounded person and that’s very important.”

With the US Open about to start and Nadal going through a bit of a rough patch, Rubio shared his views on his former protégé’s current predicament.

“Right now Rafa knows he’s mentally not as confident as he was maybe at the beginning of the year. Losing five times in a row to Djokovic… it hurts. He’s lost a bit of confidence but that’s all he’s lost.

“Knowing Rafa, when the season ends in November, he’ll go back and train like ever. Because he loves the competition that way. He likes somebody to push him.

“I’ve had the experience of Rafa winning the French Open, coming back to Mallorca and doing every single day 500 serves. Just for Wimbledon. Just correcting a little bit of foot position and 500 serves every day. Then what happened? He won Wimbledon! It’s the challenge, he loves it!”
