Week 3 MVP: Nik Caner-Medley, Valencia Basket
The third week of games in the Eurocup regular season saw as many as 10 road wins in 16 games, proving that there are no clear favorites regardless where the games are played. One of the road winners was Valencia Basket as forward Nik Caner-Medley led the performance of the team at Lukoil Academic for the win and an index rating performance of 29, that earned him the weekly MVP honors among those players in winning teams. Caner-Medley scored 27 points including 8 of 10 two-pointers and 3 of 5 threes, pulled 4 boards, had 2 steals and 1 block. After him was BC Donetsk's Ramel Curry with his 26 index rating performance behind 23 points, 3 rebounds and 4 assists. Completing the top five performances from players in winning teams were Viacheslav Kravtsov also of BC Donetsk (24), Petr Benda of CEZ Nymburk, Ali Traore of Lokomotiv Kuban and Kresimir Loncar of BC Khimki, all with an index rating performance of 23.
Individual highs: Lawrence Roberts, 15 rebounds, 10 offensive
Ricky Minard of BC Azovmash was the scoring leader of the week with his 31 points even though he could not avoid the home defeat against KRKA Novo Mesto. Lawrence Roberts of Lietuvos Rytas soared for 15 rebounds, 10 of them in the offensive end, in his team's win over Le Mans on the road. Dashaun Wood of Alba Berlin dished 9 assists in his team's home win over PGE Turow. Four players had as many steals each as Chris Booker of Telenet Oostende, Andrea De Nicolao of Benetton Basket, Kristaps Janicenoks of VEF Riga and Matt Nielsen of BC Khimki led the way in defense for their teams. Finally, also four players had 3 blocks each: Benda of Nymburk, J.R. Giddens of PAOK BC, Rudy Gobert of Cholet Basket and Hasan Rizvic of BC Azovmash.
