meni se baš sviđa njegova oprema, mada nisam stigla sve detalje da ocenim.

Hi everyone. Yesterday's match was... well, at the end we won, that's the important thing. It wasn't easy but we made it. Now I'm at the tourney, ready to train. In this pic we're having a little chat with Toni, every moment is good for improving!

Jos neki delovi iz knjige
… while competing at the Les Petits As in France!
RAFA, P.77: I won that year, and in my first taste of what was to come, girls my age or older started coming up to me to ask for my autograph. My parents, seeing this, were amused but also slightly alarmed. So my father got Maribel, who was nine, to join the queue of girls and, when she reached me, to ask me in the most fawning, sickly sweet way, “Mr Nadal, please can I have your autograph?”

Rafa won the Spanish under-14s National Championships when he was 12.
RAFA, P.75: In the very first round of the tournament I fell and broke the little finger of my left hand. But I refused to pull out or, under Toni’s vigilant eye, to complain… I had to grip the racquet with four fingers, the broken one dangling, limp and lifeless… I played through the pain to the point that I almost forgot about it…. [after I’d won the last point] The pain hit me so hard I couldn’t even lift up the cup. Another boy had to help me hold it up for the commemorative photograph.

Nadal gets locks chopped

Rafael Nadal continued a New York tradition Wednesday by getting his hair cut at Julien Farel Salon on Madison Avenue. The Spanish sensation, who won the Open last year, has had his hair cut there over the past five tournaments. “He can only win if he sees me,” Farel confidently told us. The stylist also noted that recent clients Tommy Haas and Gilles Simon both won their first- round matches. Fans have offered Farel $250 a pop for floor-sweepings after Nadal’s cuts, but the top tonsorialist -- whose clients include Gwyneth Paltrow, Ivanka Trump and Lauren Bush -- said he has “too much respect” to move Rafa’s mane for money. “Even though I could make a lot,” he joked. For this year’s do, Farel would only say, “Last year we went a bit shorter. He has very pretty hair. He’s a very handsome man!” Nadal was then spotted with girlfriend Maria Francisca Perello shopping at Cole Haan. He’ll face off against Nicolas Mahut today, though we don’t know where Mahut gets his hair done.

Rafael Nadal experiences cramps in his right leg and asks for medical treatment in the interview room at the U.S. Open after his third-round win.

Towards the end of his press conference, Nadal leaned back in his chair and after a few seconds asked for the trainer. He then slid down to the floor. Journalists were asked to leave while Nadal received attention from the trainer. The trainer lifted Nadal's legs off the ground and the Spaniard was given water.

At 4:08 pm, Nadal sat up and was talking with the trainer. He described the cramping as "so painful."

Shortly afterward, he resumed his press conference in Spanish and said: "It's just bad luck that it happened in front of the public. It could have happened anywhere. It was hot, I was running a lot and I was sweating a lot...I think I will be fine on Tuesday. I'll try and recover, drink a lot of fluids and go through my normal routine [on Monday]."

“I just have cramping in my leg,” Nadal said in a statement. “That’s all. I don’t know. There are no questions. I already finished my press conference in English. I talked half an hour. I just have cramping in front and behind. That’s why I, was so painful. That’s all.”

In a CBS interview moments ago with Mary Jo Fernandez, Nadal joked it was very humid today, and the cramping episode was something that happens often to him, just not during an interviews. More so in the locker room.

Nadal was a straight set 76, 61, 75 winner over David Nalbandian today.

“Very happy the first set and second set I think I played a very high level,” Nadal said. “Even if he was beating me 4 2 and 5 4 on serve, I was very pleased about how I played the first set, no? He was playing fantastic in my opinion at the beginning. I didn’t have unforced errors. I played well. I just tried to wait my moment.”

Nadal will face Gilles Muller on Tuesday.
