Dobro se setili! Mada bojim se da ce nece biti dovoljno igracima da pokriju troskove a kamoli da ulazu vise u sebe. Naravno mislim na igrace kojima savezi nedovoljno pomazu, koji nemaju sponzore...

Pa realno i nije neko povecanje za ove najnize turnire. Treba uzeti u obzir da su ovi nagradni fondovi fiksirani vec neko vreme, a inflacije svugde ima, tako da ne znam ni koliko ce se to konkretno osetiti.

Louisa Chirico, an 18-year-old from Harrison, New York, earned a chance to make her Grand Slam main-draw debut at the French Open by claiming a wild-card berth via the U.S. Tennis Association.

Chirico and Katerina Stewart finished with the same number of points awarded by the USTA for results in three lower-tier events, but Chirico got the wild card by virtue of a higher WTA ranking.

Stewart beat Chirico in the final of a tournament at Indian Harbour Beach, Florida, on Sunday. Chirico won the title at an event in Dothan, Alabama, last month.

In 2013, Chirico reached the junior semifinals at the French Open and Wimbledon.

Frances Tiafoe, a 17-year-old from Maryland, earned the USTA's men's wild card.

The French Open starts May 24 in Paris.

Running out of room and with ticket demand soaring, local organizers want to move the Italian Open from its historic Foro Italico venue to a new location near Rome's main airport.

"We can't fit in here anymore," Italian tennis federation president Angelo Binaghi said Sunday. "The hunger for tennis makes this the biggest sports event in Italy."

The 10,500-seat Foro Italico stadium, inaugurated in 2010, isn't big enough, Binaghi added.

Total attendance for the tournament was set to surpass 200,000 on Sunday, up from 175,000 last year, with about 10 million euros (more than $11 million) in ticket sales, up 23 percent from 2014.

With Rome bidding for the 2024 Olympics, Binaghi suggests building an entirely new tournament venue and national training center near the Leonardo Da Vinci airport, which could also be used for the games.
