To li WTA stiti Dzininu reputaciju umesto da je kazne?! Trebalo je da se pojavi i da promovise turnir ako vec nije mogla da igra, valjda su takve obaveze koje je sama WTA osmislila.

NEW TOURNAMENT IN ESTORIL IS ANNOUNCED

Organisers of the new ATP World Tour 250 tournament brought together public and private institutions, to announce the future of a Portuguese tournament on the ATP World Tour calendar, a tradition since the Tour’s inception in 1990.

In partnership with the Municipality of Cascais, the Millennium Estoril Open will be staged at the Estoril Tennis Club from April 27 – May 3, 2015. The event will take place in week 17 of the ATP World Tour season, alongside the Garanti Koza Istanbul Open, and the BMW Open by FWU AG in Munich.

The new era of the tournament starts with the bank Millennium bcp as title sponsor.

“We will also have matches for the first time at night. We are not re-inventing the wheel, but we are allowing people to leave their offices and go see the best tennis games, as, for example, in the Champions League," revealed João Zilhão, indicating that there will be three evening sessions starting at 19:00, which will host matches of the second round and of the quarter-finals on Wednesday to Friday.

Odesnik banned for 15 years after second doping violation

LONDON (Reuters) - American player Wayne Odesnik has been banned for 15 years after a second doping violation, the International Tennis Federation (ITF) announced on Wednesday.

The 29-year-old, who was sanctioned for two years in 2010 for possession of human growth hormone, was found to have taken prohibited substances, including an anabolic steroid, after submitting out-of-competition urine samples in December 2014 and January this year.

Odesnik, who reached 77th in the world in 2009, will be banned until January 2030.

The tests were carried out by the Tennis Anti-Doping Programme and U.S. anti-doping body USADA.

"This case featured extensive cooperation between the ITF (on behalf of the Programme) and USADA, including information sharing, use of the expertise of each organisation and a consolidated approach to the results management process," a statement said.

"These contributions are hereby recognized and held up as an example of the benefits of cooperation between Anti-Doping Organisations."
