Rafa je jučerašnjom pobedom pretekao Eša i sad je 11. na večnoj listi po broju pobeda. Uskoro će preteći i Bekera na 10. mestu.

Da ovde cestitam Rafinim navijacima.

Ne volim ga zaista, ali svaka mu cast sto je sa ovako ocajnom igrom uspeo da osvoji jos jedan Slem.

9 titula na RG-u u 28-oj godini zivota, velika stvar, samo 1 poraz u 10 nastupa... Vidi se da to nije vise onaj Rafa mada kakva je konkurencija, ne bih se iznenadio da padne i decima...

Rafa odustao od turnira u Torontu zbog povrede desnog zgloba, ali upitan je i nastup u Sinsinatiju.

UPDATE = According to Canadian TSN Nadal had to withdraw due to a right wrist injury. More specifically, tests found "a small detachment of posterior sheath of the right ulnar wrist" in Nadal's wrist, which is treated with a 2-3 weeks period in cast.

Here are Rafael's words:

"I'm extremely disappointed that I am unable to defend my Rogers Cup title this year,” said Nadal. “I was looking forward to coming there and playing again in Toronto as I have always loved to play in Canada. Unfortunately I injured myself yesterday during practice and after checking with my doctors I will have to stay out of competition for at least 2-3 weeks. I am sorry to the tournament and to all of the fans.”

Шпански тенисер Рафаел Надал саопштио је да због повреде зглоба десне руке неће учествовати на УС Опену.

Надал је на грен слему у Њујорку требало да брани титулу, баш као и на претходна два маастерса у Торонту и Синсинатију, које је такође морао да пропусти.

– Жао ми је што ове године нећу играти на Ју-Ес Опену, турниру где сам три пута када сам учествовао заредом био у финалу. Ово је за мене изузетно тежак тренутак, јер је реч о турниру који волим и за који ме вежу најлепше успомене. Не преостаје ми ништа друго него да прихватим ситуацију и радим напорно како бих био на врхунском нивоу кад се вратим на терен – написао је Надал на Фејсбуку.

Ју-Ес Опен почиње 25. августа и траје до 8. септембра.
